Why?

CSA box had the first of the strawberries in it today. Red all the way through, and SO sweet.

Yay strawberries for lunch!

I bought a box of red strawberries from Safeway yesterday and they were soo NOT sweet.

I'm finding it hard to tell which ones are the sweet strawberries. (Always thought they were the red ones).

Safeway is teh evil. Wait for the weekend and the farmer's market, and sample. You'll learn quickly what to look for with some experience.

Ah so that's the reason. I usually get my strawberries at farmers market and never had any problems with them. Gah
