Jul. 12th, 2006 03:43 pmGhad, it's amazing how much more productive I can be with enough sleep. Not all the sleep I can get, just more than five hours. Two more than that, and I can take a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson. Okay, that's stretching it a bit.
But, dayim.
Good thing, life is busy and not looking to let up anytime soon.
Spice's ashes are ready for pickup - am I dragging my feet when I keep telling Jim not to rush over there just to get them? I mean - what the heck are we going to DO with them once they're home? We didn't purchase the pretty cedar urn with the photo plate, after all.
*shuffles* Yeah, this is the first time I've had a pet cremated. Don't look at me like that.
I don't want to tempt fate and put that container on a shelf somewhere it could get knocked over. You understand.
Jim's suggest scattering the ashes at Cliff's grave - which has some merit, she was his last dog...or taking her to pier and letting fly. Neither of these is getting a good gut reaction, so if you have any suggestions, the mike is open.
I know I'm forgetting something. What - well, who knows. All I know is that I'm amazed at the response being - well - mean is getting. Y'all are weird, I've said that. Is it something of a life lesson to find out most of my worst moments where when I was trying to be kind - and my best are when I'm being harsh? Jeeeeeeez.
Running away now....

Date: 2006-07-14 01:33 am (UTC)Blue Bayou (Our Greyhound) we had cremated and he lives in a wooden urn on our mantle with a nameplate. Buckwheat, had he died where I could have recovered his body, would have been cremated and placed in a cat shaped statue. As it is, I have a Margaret Pena Winged Cat statue I painted black to look like Buckers, and he is peering down on us from atop the TV.
