This is part of a long-established pattern from this administration: when the public begins to see them for what they are, they scramble to issue a bunch of terrorist attack warnings, so we'll be afraid and give them whatever they want, so they can "protect" us. Perfect example: the stupid security theater in airports isn't about safety (certainly not the War On More Than Three Ounces Of Liquid), it is about keeping people afraid and under control.

To that male protester, I only have this to say. You are neither Christian or a patriot, and your actions defame both.

I'm going to admit to a consistent bit of laziness - I find it hard to keep whining 'yeah, what they said' over and over again.

Particularly when I can't say it any better.

I keep ranting how this whole 'war on terror' is a 'war of terror' on the citizens of this country, but I have to add that most people have not done enough that would qualify them the ability to say they are a citizen, as voting does not fulfill that obligation. As for the 'prayer' link, most 'Christians' or 'patriots' are an embarrassment to their cause. Most don't have the faintest idea what Christianity is really about (selective rote memorization of passages from a heavily edited Bible don't make you a Christian.) or are what was once called 'sunshine patriots', quick to wave the flag but unwilling to sacrifice at all. When I saw the terrorism articles last night, I thought how pathetic it was. So little information, it really does just seem like a scare tactic sponsored by the Whitehouse. And what better time too, since Shrub's approval ratings are in the toilet.

I'm so saddened that the priest had loud and rambunctious protesters in the Senate. Glad they were arrested for disrupting the peace though.
