I just sent a laundry list to the agency to see if they can't get some answers from the agency in Taiwan. Not the least of which is updated weight and height, and foot size for shoes.

Yeah, I've bought the first clothes. I went out to my favorite kids' clothes site, Hanna Anderson and got a few changes...enough to send over in the care package.

Not nearly enough to last a week, mind. But it's a start. Shoes as soon as I get an idea of how big.

I opened the fabric stash. I found receipts from 1990 in with it. That's how long, guys. That's how long.

Today's self is looking at the ruffled laces in BRIGHT PRIMARY COLORS and going WHAT WERE YOU SMOKING, but most of the flannel is fine and I have enough of the pastel shades to make rainbow blankets out of. Really.

I took pictures.

I have class this weekend (heads up redqueenofevil) - and then I hope I can get Paul over to do some work towards the DVD.

Thinking of how I want to do the kid site - that's the one I'm planning on letting the world see, and will forward to the outlying family as an announcement. You know - the ones that don't talk to me unless I talk first? Right. Those guys.

Blogger? Maybe. Still thinking about it.

FYI, I did some asking around a little bit ago about good blogging sites/software.. Almost everybody I talk to these days (including some professional bloggers) seems to be really big on Wordpress..

Personally I decided against Blogger just because I didn't really like the idea of somebody slapping tons of ugly ads all over my content without even asking..

If you're planning to do that, then Wordpress (i.e. the software from wordpress.org, not the service at wordpress.com) appears to be the nearly universal choice.. Its only real competitor is Movable Type, which from what I understand has most of the same features, but being somewhat older is a little clunkier in some ways, so most people have jumped ship for Wordpress by now..

(on the plus side, either Wordpress or MT will give you the option of migrating to the other later if you decide you want to switch)

Thanks for the heads up. I have some out of town guests this week (through Monday), and tentatively, there's a concert in OC on Saturday that I'm participating in. So I may not be able to get away. However, there's a slight chance we can meet up. How late do your classes go?

About 1:30 or so - if memory serves me correctly. Maybe up to an hour later.

Since we need to get home to get pictures and video done (scroll down) - we may not have a ton of time either.

I'm leaning hard towards another LJ or serve my own, since it's largely pictures with small amounts of text. But Wordpress sure is pretty, neh?

Well, yes. I use it as my home site (what you see on LJ is duped over automatically). And you have a stronger control over graphics/ pictures / layout. Otherwise, chacun a son gout.

So your adoption is finally in the works? Wow!! I was a reader of yours for many years, in my previous journal, smilenfrown. I started a new journal when TTC and stayed with this one, so I haven't kept up with what my FL from my previous journal were up to. Kids tend to change priorities and interests like that. Anyway, just checked in with your journal and noted the adoption entry. I don't know enough about what you're doing, but wanted to say CONGRATS that an adoption is really happening for you.
