Random weird trivia thing I read somewhere, I think on a Beverly Hillbillies site which I ran into when reading about the rural purge of American TV in the late sixties and early seventies: Nancy Kulp, who played Miss Hathaway on Beverly Hillbillies, was generally known to be a lesbian back then (she came out publicly later on). When the woman who played the . . . mom? grandma? in Petticoat Junction found out, she heard somewhere that Kulp thought she was attractive (true or not), said that if Kulp ever hit on her, she'd be slapped with a restraining order, and avoided her from then on out. The only thing that makes this relevant is that I was saddened to discover that this woman also voiced Granny who owned Tweety Bird. *sigh* *sad*
