Define "frustration"
Nov. 15th, 2009 10:12 pmSpend six hours of a day off playing a lot in Sims 2 - only to have the laptop crash with graphic issues (known problem, I work around it).
Would you believe I've now played that lot four times this weekend? Crash, boom, blam. Not that there was a ton of extra time. I just had about six hours to myself on Saturday. It was nice, actually it was GREAT - but it only points me at 'gee, that needs to happen more than once a year.'
And I now have a kid who's first response to 'I don't want to do that' is wails and crying. When Jim is around. Without him? Totally no issue at all.
But I think I might have something better to try out, going forward. I am NOT the person you want to try tears and tantrums on. Not on your best day.
All in all? Wish it could have lasted longer, and was a completely satisfactory birthday. More details to follow.
