I have a little boy who wakes up, announces his awakeness by calling for one of us and generally Jim gets up (he's the one NOT sleeping against the wall) and brings back sleepy and wriggling to cuddle while waking up.

This morning he announced he'd had very nice dreams of Pokemon (which truly has taken over his life in more ways than I'm comfortable with, entirely) and did I have nice dreams too?

Well....

Nobody died and all that. But - I do recall a sequence where I really WANTED to get a shower and my only option was to stand in knee high water because the drain was plugged and everyone else had to share it - and they all peed in the water.

Color, smell, the works.

This is supposed to mean something, right? The fact that dream-self didn't immediately reject the entire notion and jump out kinda of worries me the most. I got my shower like this is was completely acceptable on everyone's part. Squick.

Yes, baby - I'm fine.

In other news, I have received a title change at work (no more money, but that's okay) - who would be the newest, shinest EDI Specialist/Project Manager on the block? Why, that would be me, uh huh! *fistpumps*

Plans for the weekend? Endure it. That's about it. The real break comes the weekend of the 17th when I take Friday off. Seriously. Kid stays in preschool, Jim gets the day off - and I do too for Yom Kippur. Yes, I'm running away from home for a day. Watch me.

Last night's dreams were all about being in my late twenties, being told repeatedly by Cliff that he was tired of being married to anyone and wanted to leave me...while we were living in a strange house, that bore some resemblance to the condo we were living in at that time in Montrose. (MUCH larger, BTW, with working appliances...which that one did not have.)

Woke up next to Jim this morning, realized I wasn't going to get left again for any reason, heaved a sigh of relief...until Jim started moving cars outside without saying good-bye.

Boy, I hope I get a chance to explain that one. The meows were truly alarmed and pitiful.

The rest of the day has been a blur. True to form, installing a spyware checker on the laptop has borked most of the programs, including the graphics drivers...so no simming until I get this resolved. (Game loads just fine. It just can't draw worth beans and gives it up QUICK.)

Add that to the two other machines I'm trying to get in working order, and you have my weeknights this week.

Which reminds me....

Okay, what?

When I wake in the morning from pleasant dreams - last night included brightly colored pet birds, Bill Bixby, Australian beaches (with selkies I found living in the berms and coral reefs), finding friends and beautiful sunshine.

In color, perfect sound and everything. RL people popped in an out from time to time, just like they do during the day - but they were happy and content last night in the dream.

I woke feeling better than I had in weeks - I can only imagine what I've been dreaming when I've woken exhausted and not remembering a thing.

I'd like a vacation like that, please.

And I still seriously miss Bill Bixby.

It helps -
