"Go to the freezer, get the box."
Aug. 13th, 2008 12:57 pmReally nice people do not snark at people who are begging for it, but don't realize they're begging for it. Wait a minute, let me rephrase that.
If I don't offer sympathy, don't be offended. I'm staying out of it.
No, that doesn't quite work, either - does it?
*scratches head* Damn, I know times are tough. Gotta pay attention and at least fake it until I figure this out.
Listen, dammit. Just sit back, nod and listen. If it sounds like envy on their part, it very well might be. Stay out of it. It sucks that life is sucking, and isn't that enough? Listen...and keep yer yap shut.
The fact I'd like to slap some people senseless isn't helping, is it? No, I'm not telling anyone to get over it. And I have no clues that they're recognize as such. Just a lot of flail and woe and dayim, I have no patience for it anymore. What are you waiting for?
Sympathy? Pfft. You need that for what reason - you aren't feeling sorry enough for yourself already?
Here, have a can to kick around. When you get tired, let me know.
And get ready to wear the plumage and strut, baby. You make it a parade, I'm all for it.
...
"San Francisco is now a mutant sanctuary," X-Men group leader Cyclops proclaims, near the end of Issue 500. "Any of you - and your family or loved ones - are invited to join us here, and know safety and protection our kind has never known."
I am much amused.

Knitty folks - I challenge you to a Hat ATTACK throwdown!
This is easy - I've never done cables in my life. You'll win for sure - or you'll definitely beat me for sure, so come get some boo for free!
Me? I get a new skill. ROCK ON.
Mark this one on the calendar - and I'll add a notation to
simsdesoleil - I'm giving in.
After three years, I am sick to death of blue, green and pink. Sick, I tell you.
UH. Oh. What -
Male maternity clothes for Sims2. They come in three colors, one style and I'm DONE with them.
So...I'm caving and going to attempt InSim without killing my game. Wish me luck.
Searches for solutions this ..perverted strange .. often turn up some other results.
Like one of the most gorgeous Sims2 resource site I've seen in ages.
Garden of Shadows. I've still got some more cruising around there to go - but oh my. PRETTY.
Just in time for the weekend.
This is easy - I've never done cables in my life. You'll win for sure - or you'll definitely beat me for sure, so come get some boo for free!

simsdesoleil, my Sims2 journal....)
If anyone ever asked me who my least favorite character in Sims2 was - the answer is clear, well-defined and puzzling at the same time.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting Daniel Pleasant kicked out of his happy home. I then tossed him into condo row with the bare essentials of keeping him in the Sim loop (bed, telephone, computer) and ignored him.
Until the someone (I think it was
my_sims_reality) who told me about the L & D Tombstone.
I had my tool for revenge.
Uh. Daniel Pleasant has had a LARGE number of children since then...and he makes really pretty Sims, it turns out. (Since then, he's gone Elder and lives in an apartment complex with a number of other Romance Sims in the same age category.)
But I had the wild hare idea - what if I had a lot with three Romance Sim males on it, brought the one woman they all fell in love with onto the lot...and she found out that everyone had been woo-hooing each other behind her back...after she'd gone through the trouble of having a baby with one of them?
Biological Revenge. I'd use that L & D tombstone to 'curse' each of them, and she could split after that...and I'd upload the lot to the Exchange and watch the WTF fly.
But I decided to start the boys out at University - and anyone knows that if I have Sims out to college, they can be at college a long, LONG time.
I finally finished getting them through this week.
I carefully crafted the house, the scenario and so forth. Then tried to upload it.
NAH. Maybe it's out there, but I can't find it.
So I'll share it here with you guys.
Biological Revenge, the zipped file.
All the reasonable precautions apply - I use a TON of custom content, but no hacks. (I've removed the one L & D Tombstone that I used....) Custom content includes hair, eyes, skins, clothes - I tried to keep the furnishings Maxis original, at least.
Everyone has jobs, the guys have all hit the Zone on their respective hobbies, even.
Let me know how things go, if you download and load the lot - I'll like to know how things turned out for you.
For me, I am going to go play that lot now. Heh heh heh....

One weekend, all gone -
Apr. 10th, 2006 07:45 amTurned the computers on sometime Friday night - turned them off again, sometime last night before we went out to dinner.
Never touched them.
Had
caitlin over Saturday AM, did shoppage and then nappage.
I did one bad thing. I bought Harvest Moon for the GameCube and promptly lost all of Sunday.
See, I really suck at shooter games - constructive, goal-oriented RPs? Don't even need the guide. I boner the first attempt, but after that, I'm golden.
The biggest problem is that they are extremely time consuming to play. An hour flies past, then another.
Yesterday, food was a can of pasta and a few cookies, plus the few cups of tea - until dinner.
Just...one...more...day....
Add that to the AC:WW work on the DS? Yeah, you get the picture.
Have to find coverage for animal care this weekend - we're going to Berea, KY for five days. I won't be booked solid, so anyone who wants me for a Steak n Shake or Cracker Barrel run, can have me.
However, we also got word that one of Jim's aunt's passed suddenly last night - his mother's younger sister, the one "with all the health problems." I'd never met her, but I am given to understand the woman took a back injury into diabetes over the course of decades. I've met one of her sons - he's 300 lbs, if he's a day. It's a shame - and a blessing. She'd been confined to bed - the best they'd rehabbed her to was a wheelchair. Maybe within five years of my age - or less. All I ever heard was "obese." It'll kill you, no doubt about it. And for her youth (relatively), she'd had a very hard life - yes, it's a blessing. Poor thing. The saddest part? I was able to guess accurately how long it would take them to put funeral arrangements together, and it would fall just outside our travel window.
I shouldn't know these things. But I won't be able to keep saying that, as I enter the latter part of my forties. I'm quickly entering that part of my life where those things just get assumed.
There are days when I feel my age is just one big Spoiler for anyone younger than me. "Don't tell me about that part - you'll spoil it for me!"
H-ooookay. I grew up in Hemet. I have a very good idea of what's ahead. I saw it daily in people who lived into their nineties, shopping for cat litter. Believe me, it's an asset most of the time -
Never touched them.

It'll kill you, no doubt about it.
Believe me, it's an asset most of the time -
One weekend, all gone -
I'LL GET IT I'LL GET IT I'LL GET IT
Apr. 4th, 2006 07:48 amKingdom Hearts II arrived yesterday. I was very good, had dinner cooked and ready before Jim got home - but.
Still had to sit through many cycles of the opening while eating.
Four hours later, SORA. (It's okay. We love Sora. A lot. Good thing, too. Missed him, too. *smacks self*)
But the first fight with both Goofy and Donald? About died laughing.
Very different game from the first one - so far, this ain't no Yuna's Hotpants.
But it definitely requires patience. Not paced for younglings.
