Wow. Weekend filling up FAST - and I want a BBQ sometime. Like Saturday, I think. Just got a call from an old member of the crew - family, for all intents and purposes - coming out from back East to collect some personal effects from his late parent's estate to ship back with him. He's going to be out from Thursday this week to Thursday next. Yes, this will mean a trip to Hemet. Stay tuned.

Nisei Week without the Tofu Festival means most of the vendors I counted on being there are gone. They've restructured the first floor of the JACC in a way that made them split the ikebana into two rooms.

I fell asleep sitting up during the tea ceremony.

And I had at one point, a 16 to 1 ratio. They all knew me - and that was the common thread. I had four units at one point. I am very derfed. SO derfed. Derf derf sake OMG die derf.

And we missed caitlin. We were selfish that way.

Festival of Books - UCLA, fun starts at 10:00 AM, ticket office opens at 9:00 AM.

Dinner at Curry House in West LA, to be followed by dessert at Beard Papa's and karaoke after that. (Blame catsonmars. His idea.)

Lather, rinse, repeat on Sunday. (Although the Curry House and Beard Papa's again on Sunday? Maybe not.)
