The Business Analyst will analyze, recommend, and implement business processes to support the retail customer, in order to provide flexible technology that will support retailer EDI requirements. They will also define the initiatives and approach to proactively support the retail customer Key Performance Indicators to eliminate or minimize chargebacks

Responsibilities:

Develop business insights based on analysis of results, and communicate key findings to various members of management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Assist in the development of measurement processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes.
Actively lead definition of system requirements including documenting processes, business requirements and resulting technology needs.
Gather appropriate resources and people to complete assigned projects on time and within budget.
Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats with clients, suppliers, colleagues and various levels of management.
Appropriately escalate barriers to meeting timelines and deliverables.
Assist in Identifying best practices through a review of vendor processes.
Develop polished executive-level presentations and confidently deliver the information to internal business associates and external clients in a clear and concise fashion.
Establish and maintain relationships with the supply chain and information technology departments for purposes of facilitating data collection from systems.
Prepare reports, perform analysis, and evaluate opportunities to achieve cost savings goals.
Project status reporting according to prescribed timelines for a given project.


Requirements:
Must have 5 to 7 years of business analyst experience in a supply chain, logistics or retail-merchandising environment.
Knowledge in state-of-the art supply chain business processes and systems is a plus.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of process improvement.
Functional experience in supply chain operations is required.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and processes is required.
Experience managing projects in a fast-paced retail or similar environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of management, end-users and peers.
Understanding of databases, logic views, query tools, and standard file layouts for conversions and interfaces are a plus.
Experience working with supplier portals, EDI, and/or procurement systems.
