Better than nothing -
May. 8th, 2007 03:25 pmNot much, mind -
I have to admit it - I'm doing a lot of single-serving, one-off use frozen meals at work as lunch. Everything disposable - *winces* - and I know I can do better than that.
One little step towards reducing that carbon footprint?
I went out and got a set of To-Go Ware. It rides in the purse now wherever I go - coming soon to a fast food place near you. Yeah, I got the red one.
The side benefit? The carrying case is part of a project in Thailand called WEAVE - Women's Education for Advacement and Empowerment - pretty neat, you ask me. A bit like Novica, some...except for the profit margin. And where it goes. And for what.
But much more like RAWA. Remember them? They used to have a handicrafts program to help fund their project, but it looks like it's gone now.
Resources like these are worth seeking out - if I have to spend the money, maybe I can spend a few more moments targeting where it has to go.
*sighs*
And I need to start building meals in reusable containers instead of buying them at the market. Okay, that's going to take a bit more work. And planning. Yay.
