Services restored at home. You don't want to know over how small a reason - just, don't. It was a setup issue, resulting from a fiber upgrade in the neighborhood and I knew that had to be the reason the moment the outage began.

How hard is it to get a telco to listen? Try throwing two entire companies at it for two weeks hard.

It is what it is. This is also what it is - live, in color, hot and cold running bits and bytes.

I also have had three of my busiest days today. Yeah. Just today.

Having more coffee, and running software updates - wii now back up, so if you've got a code? Ask and I'll add you now.

I went down to the village in search of single malt whiskey chocolate bars.

Was denied.

Walked down there. It's about a mile or so - nice walk. Nice day.

Put in an order for same, with some of their kin.

Still have no intarnets at home. Will likely be there tomorrow.

Will leech if I can.

Chocolate cherry diet Dr. Pepper for the win, BTW.

Going home now. Fall down. Go boom. That sort of thing.

Now, after the third house call - Covad wants both them AND AT&T at the house at the same time.

Seems they want a party.

..

I am so NOT ordering pizza.

And now?

Things I want to keep until I get home -

To use it, I start most Saturday mornings with a cup of coffee, a stack of cookbooks, and a pad of post-it notes. I flip through my cookbooks, flagging all of the recipes I want to use for the week.

Well, we'll see. Saturday mornings usually find me trying to get Jim away from the cartoons. But I certainly have the cookbook resources....

I just work here.

Alton Brown pw0ns y'all.

A museum dedicated to play. How cool is that?

Tech out, yup - it's Verizon. Again.

Where's my cookie.

Still down at home. Still have pictures I can't upload. Still can't reply to comments.

*grumble*

Still know who's responsible. Was right the first time.

Do I get a cookie for that?

BACK=950.

And yes, I found where I left off.

Line still down at home - but going there now. Where I get to eat dinner and fall down, maybe have a nice smelly bath prior.

Covad came out, decided that it was neither the router or the connection into the house - and tech left at about 12:45, leaving me to beat feet and reschedule my entire week. Yay.

That's email, Facebook, Wii - anything connected to the net. We're not ignoring you. We just can't communicate with you right now.

I blame Verizon...and I'm pretty certain we'll find them at the bottom of this.

Until then - you got the phone numbers, and you can text me.

Meanwhile I'm behind, and getting behinder.

Waiting for the tech this morning, I had the opportunity to play a University lot with 8 Sims on it, now enhanced with Free Time.

I'm getting pretty good at guessing chosen hobby - but it's far from a perfect science. I've had to add a basketball hoop, pottery wheel and additional easels, so far.

BTW - I'm rolling secondary aspirations just like I would primary ones - three 6-sided die, best two out of three or best fit to the turn ons/turn offs rolled up at the same time.

Two have rolled up Grilled Cheese so far - and one has a chosen Cuisine hobby. FTW!

And gee...I don't have to sit Sims in the hot tub when I have nothing else for them to do anymore. FTW, squared!
