Congrats to all the winners!

(And Coyote? I'm going to remember you liked that brand of sake, just saying.)

Got this just now:

Dear Parents and Co-Workers,

I know it’s been awhile since our last update. There has been only a little bit of news to report. We found out that the joint motion for Upsorn’s case to be re-opened was denied. We waited to report this information because I found out about one other way we would be able to help her. So, I met with the attorney and started a labor certification petition. We should have an answer within a week or so.

Everyone has been so sweet with all the personal donations that have come in. We have raised $3080 and with my matching personal donation that makes a grand total of $6160. This helped pay for a substantial amount Upsorn’s initial attorney’s fee of $8500. Thank you very much for your kindness and generoousity.

We have been offering the daily foods for purchase. These food items are contributed by Beach Babies for staff and families to buy in the front lobby and staff break room. We are happy that the convenience of having food available has also turned in a contribution of $350 so far.

This week we are having a silent auction with a lot of wonderful items to bid on including a 7 day cruise out of a choice of locations including Miami, San Juan, Pt. Cnaveral, Galveston, Tampa, and Long Beach. These cruises go to locations such as US Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Barbados, Dominica, Nassau, Belize, Costa Maya, Cosumel, Roatan, Grand Turk, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. It all depends on where you would like to start your much needed vacation!!

We also have a vacation home that is available. Please see photo’s in the front lobby.

All of these contributions will go to the attorney’s fees for the work certification petition. This fee is $6,000. Please enjoy this week of the silent auction and lets all continue to work together to help Ms. Upsorn return to Beach Babies.

Have a wonderful week and we will be in touch soon with updates on Upsorn and the progress of the silent auction.

I'm still patting myself on the back for buying Wii Sports Resort, with an extra controller.

That package has turned out to be total win for kid - and with all this rain?

He isn't getting cabin fever because he's too busy slaying fencing opponents and stuff. And when you're wee like he is, there's plenty of room to jump around flailing mightily. And boy, does he.

Wears him clear out, it does. And it never gets old. Total win.

This sticks like glue. If you gotta wii, you gotta get this.

Just got my Yuletide assignment, and it is totally FULL of win. This...is going to be a total pleasure on top of pumpkin custard creme brulee with whipped cream and maple sugar jimmies.

Yes, yes it is.

To the bad - I'm coughing again. Coming soon, big fever and likely crashing tonight sick as a dog.

Jim's already there. Which probably means I'm not sick. No, really. Can't possibly be.

Because I'm at the mercy of a 3 year old who is a morning person -

The two fairs we've gotten in over the weekend have so far been unvarnished AWESOME. The Topanga Days is particularly full of win, and if we're not auditing Baycon and Fanime next year, likely will do it again.

Pictures later. Now, I must fly.

Wow. That CD I picked up at Starbucks the other day is FANTASTIC.

Party last night so full of WIN, it's running over into today which is pouring rain and looking like hot chocolate and blankets on the couch watching MUNCLE sort of stuff.

WIN, I tell you.

I need to have one of those here at MAH HOUSE just for kicks and giggles this summer.
