This is my Freecycle special - my pet project for the new year. It's a good place to send people if they don't know what to gift me with. Gift me with the means to rebuild this sucker.

I'm also leaning towards wine this year, for some reason. Don't ask me why.

But please - don't tie up funds in gift cards. We could definitely use any cash towards defraying travel costs to pick up Xander next year - so if you wish to gift us that way, the folding kind is definitely recommended.

Nice bike - what does it need?

Freecycle can be wonderful if you are in the right place and time. Just got a fishtank and a bicycle from Alan from it.

Everything - it's been in storage for ten years, and what isn't rusty, is flat. The frame is in fantastic shape, ditto the rims - but everything needs to be de-rusted and oiled, and anything rubber, replaced.

As much as I can - tho' I'll admit I really don't have the tools for the gears. Cleaning up and replacing things? Pretty good. Redoing the derailer and so on? Not so much.

I have the tools, and maybe I'll just find one that needs a bit less work. I hopefully will find time to look at it if I ever find a way to drag 'mom' along. She being a bit of a problem lately.
