I can only go back 1000 entries. That's about the 27th - so anything prior to that?

*wind whistling*

Christmas Eve was THE BOMB. More details later, when I'm not too tired to think straight.

How sick have I been?

I am so glad I finished the advent posts before this...you have no idea.

[livejournal.com profile] n6vfp was by on Sunday - and got to see just how fast I can get people turned around and gone again, because I don't feel good and I don't want to share.

He brought me a perfectly good, completely working bicycle. All the way from Anza, and that's not chump change.

I had enough presence of mine to thank him profusely and scoot him out of the house. All I wanted to do was go back to bed and remain unconscious - seriously.

But...bike. Like, big enough for Jim to ride. Now, once I get the other one working? We all have bikes to ride.

Thanks, Alan. You have no idea...and not because I had the presence of mind to give you one on Sunday when I saw you.

Holy chrome.

This is my Freecycle special - my pet project for the new year. It's a good place to send people if they don't know what to gift me with. Gift me with the means to rebuild this sucker.

I'm also leaning towards wine this year, for some reason. Don't ask me why.

But please - don't tie up funds in gift cards. We could definitely use any cash towards defraying travel costs to pick up Xander next year - so if you wish to gift us that way, the folding kind is definitely recommended.

You want the Amazon list, you need only ask.

PSA for the day - and thanks for asking.

I caved. I've got a YouTube account now - probably will be spamming it with kid pics next year. ^^

However, I have a teensy sample of the awesome that was last night's fireworks off the Manhattan Beach pier - if you want a look:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE7BB6RBnKM

No, I don't embed videos. Go - come back.

Everything just came together perfectly - from Tommy and crew making it to my house ON TIME (play the lottery!) to getting to dinner, having as much pasta as we could hold (Firemen! Yay!) to getting to Starbucks for coffee, then the Skechers store for swag and more hot drinks...to finding THE place for viewing the fireworks next to the pier. About the only thing that could have stood some improvement?

We needed a few more layers of clothes. Just - oh, a layer of wool or so.

It was dry, with a few high clouds - and wind. Oh, the WIND. Huddling good.

Woke up this morning to pouring rain - and feeling very satisfied indeed. A perfect evening.

You gotta try this sometime. Fireworks at Christmas. How very, VERY Californian. Want proof?

Took this before getting into position:

I love where I live.

[livejournal.com profile] motorbike is having a mix meme fest. Like - go to the theme generator, get the box and you got three weeks to go for it.

What did I get? Lawrence Stepelevich. This is after drawing Merrie Melodies pr0n for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. Not complaining, mind. S-T-R-E-T-C-H -

Oh man, I need a beer. *laughs*
