For more than one reason.

New gig?

I go perm, officially, the 29th. Since everyone is going to be out of the office on vacation for the holiday until the 3rd?

I asked.

I got.

I've already got my health insurance paperwork in, done and ready to rock for the 1st of January.

UH. They have their policy with the same company as old gig. With a twist.

UH. Old gig? Bigger company...by an order of magnitude. New gig?

Has a richer health policy. I don't know that it's going to be cheaper, but. Lower percentage of cost to us, lower co-pays, lower deductibles...same provider.

Don't know yet if there will be a bump in pay, but I'm fine if there isn't - economy being what it is, and so on.

But I'm better off than I was. *pinches self*

I begin to sense my late husband in the middle of all this - it smacks of his whacky way of making things work. In the midst of crazy, good things came of them. Beneficial things.

I'm just counting my blessings.

I also sat down and penned my Yuletide offering last night - and blast if I can discuss it yet. Suffice it to say, I'm amazed I was able to do it with a straight face. And...I think they'll like it. At least, I hope they'll like it.
