Kid has graduated in Mario Kart on the DS from 'finishing the game unassisted' to 'whoa, I'm not winning and that SUCKS' in less than 24 hours.
Triggering the 'winning is HARD on a ratio basis' from me, ('Hey, look at how many people are playing - that's eight of them, and only one of them can win. That's HARD.') with the follow-up 'you only get better with practice' go-get 'em.
Better living through video games, that's me.
Today, we join the church - and it's the last Sunday with pastor before he retires and leaves forever. Okay, that's dire and not entirely true, but close enough. Going to miss him like whoa. And Jim never met him. Something really wrong with that, but not a damn thing I can do about it.
Your Sunday, already in progress.
Still have goodies leftover from yesterday's Haiti fundraiser put on by all the catering trucks in Los Angeles. No, you don't understand. Catering trucks that do nothing but grilled cheese sandwiches. Indian food. Sushi. Thai food. ALL GOOD. I had a Chinese/Mexican fushion lunch of a kung-pow chicken 'chimale' that just - YUM. And then I tried to follow that up with BBQ. I tried.
They had 25 trucks in an area where two together is an event. Want to give them all a hug. As it was, I tried to buy something from everyone. Not easy. Have lunch/dinner for tonight STILL.
