Some things, you can't let be
Mar. 18th, 2003 11:19 amMy apologies to
snackpants. I know we won't see eye-to-eye on this. However, this post was concerning enough for me to respond - rather verbosely, I fear.

As I said, I'll deal with what comes. I don't have to like it.

Would this be so bad?

Blame
I could lose a 1988 pickup truck without A/C or radio for this....
Maybe I should rent one instead of a car for the next couple of days. Hmmm. I sense a poll coming on!
[Poll #114162]
Have at.

Tour Bus Crash Update
Mar. 18th, 2003 05:50 pmGhad, this is turning into a personal vendetta.
( Article from LA Times regarding budget cuts affecting emergency services in San Bernardino County - i.e., the ones that provided care for the victims of the tour bus accident. It's mentioned near the end.... )
I'm also going to contact the LA Times writers from the original stories and see if there were any updates. We haven't even heard if any of those six people airlifted three times the necessary distance for care made it or not.
Note the inter-county squabbling. Los Angeles county has the money. San Bernardino has the square footage and no tax base to speak of. IMHO, this is a state matter --
