No, really. Shit's happening with the adoption - it could be good - but I can't give details. Not yet. Too many unknowns.

But, yeah. Shit's happening. We'll know more tonight.

...

Heard back from the contractor - and I had to turn him away. They want to take the house down, and rebuild - and the model they're willing to discuss? Wait for it. Better yet, sit down and hang on.

$650,000. To build. That does not include the real estate to put it on.

Oh hell no. Say it with me, and be proud. PROUD.

I gotta go find someone else. Dangit. Pfui.

...

In other news, flying just about six inches off the ground. That busy. Be right back.

We've begun work to accept the referral of an adoption from Taiwan.

I'll be scanning the photos we have tomorrow when I get access to a scanner, but the vital statistics are these:

He's a little over two and a half years old, born August 16, 2005. We have his history - we know who his mother was (her name, her birthday...yes, all that), who she was married to at the time she had him - and that he was not the biological father. That's largely why he was placed for adoption - that, and a hypothyroid issue that has been treated since he was born.

He was born in a hospital - we know where - we even know the attending physician's name.

He's been in foster care, with the same family, since he was born.

I've got enough information to do his natal chart. It's not enough, mind. I'm going to be sending a questionnaire over to his foster family as soon as I can, with a camera...wait, I'm getting ahead of myself.

His name is Yang I. Yang is his mother's family name, and I have the kanji characters that make up his name - if I can incorporate it in, I will - but the working name is Alexander-Paul DeSilva Bell. (I need to see about the I - 'Eee' - and what it means. First?)

The pictures you get with these referrals aren't always happy ones. His are. There is a piano in the foster home, you can see it in some of the shots. There also appears to be other children in the home as well.

We've got a lot of work to do. And a raffle or two to do.

And fast. We're aiming to have him home by his third birthday, and will likely be able to do so. The only thing that I have any reservation about is the social worker who will be doing our home study (updating the existing one, really) and if she has any reservations about it. If she does, we deal. Until then - we want him, and we're going to work hard to get him home as soon as possible.

He has a foster family I can keep sending them pictures to. People we can go back to see, God willing.

No, I have no intention of taking him away from them - he'll be my son, but not my property.

He looks like he likes blocks and things that move. I need to call my primary care doctor, the endocrinologist and get a pediatric referral.

I have lots to do. Folks, you want to help me out - now's the time. Sis is already saying baby shower in June. Count on it -

Finally. I'm going to be someone's Mommy Mom.

(And China can take all the time it wants. We'll still be able to adopt from that program when they're ready.)

I can't wait.

I've got a lot to do.

Little boy stuff. OH YEAH.
