I give up. I've joined a new community, [livejournal.com profile] fortysomething and now have over 500 journals on the list I read daily.

I have a choice to leave things as they are - or begin cutting. I've already stopped taking feeds from a lot of the communities I've subscribed to, checking in that once in a while that is usually all they need to stay current.

Guess I get to see how many people are still posting - or have gone friends only and not included me in the cut. It happens.

Hey.

Ask anyone.

This is nice. However, if you'd think I'd pass up a chance to step away from this computer and meet up with any of you, face-to-face, you're nuts.

I spent many, many years being the only one of me I knew. The only one my age, with my interests, my gender - what have you.

The fact that I'm not the only one anymore is wonderful.

One of the first things I learned about Jim through a third party who had known him longer, was that "all we need are books and a little food, and we're fine." From his older brother -

Jim has a new book from his favorite author - he's been fed, and he is very content right now. Not to mention cute, but I'm not biased either, right?

*sighs* Haven't heard boo from the Hartmans about the move this weekend - and feeling the need to just let it lie. I asked for help, when I needed it and was very specific as to what exactly I needed help with. Is it wrong to be a bit passive-aggressive about this and expect them to ask me for what they need? I've told them to let me know - and I'm feeling the need for downtime. I'm cranky and sharp and a number of things that really need some space to dissipate.

I guess that answers itself. Me first, Jim second and everyone else after that.

Bed now. I already took an hour or so nap after dinner tonight.

Somehow, I can't help but think that is going to happen soon - like in the next year or so. Jim has never been to Canada, and I want to redo the one trip I did with Cliff through the national parks between Alberta and British Columbia (drop dead gorgeous!) -

Don't forget to make time for yourself to "process" what you see on [livejournal.com profile] nopity - it is going to be critical for you to continue.

Are you sure you don't want to go into social work?
