Chicago People -
Oct. 2nd, 2004 03:50 pmI've gotten a call from
being_homeless - she's gotten injured during a medical emergency on her flight into Chicago today. After being pleasantly insistent that she be seen, the airline put in a cab to the local hospital, where she is now waiting for her turn. She wasn't the medical emergency, but in getting clear to allow access to the crewmembers, she's borked a knee up, tripping over items left in the aisle (*face smacks*).
The airline is filling the report, but there won't be a claim number or anything a hospital can tie to for payment until Monday. (This is Southwest, BTW. They've been wonderful. But they are staying in business through cost-cutting measures like this, don't forget.)
She has at least two people there who were planning to host her while she was there, but she may need more assistance. She's not certain how she is going to get to them now that her original plan of travel from the airport has changed.
If you have Crystal's number and can help, I suggest you call her.
If you're in Chicago, and can help us out, email me and I will call you back.

Any suggestions?
