Seriously.

Because my phone company is the one that didn't rollover and play dead for the TSA.

If anyone wants to talk to them, they love talking to everyone. At length, about whatever bugs them.

Here's the main page, with all the pricing. Another one, with the list of freebies listed. If you want a referral, let me know.

You want it, support it. The old saying goes that "it has to start somewhere."

Let it begin with me.

Well, that's a relief.

Though I can't say I would mind totally wasting the NSA's time by making them listen to all my boring calls home.

I'd have to wonder if T-Mobile isn't sourcing from Sprint/Nextel, then -

I have SBC/AT&T for local service, but WA for long distance.

Hmm. Outside of the telemarketers who call us *constantly* wanting our opinion...yeah, boring as hell, methinks.

I had some problems with Working Assets using MBNA as their credit card service (as they were promoting credit to poor people and then gouging like mad once they were on the hook) and I really wasn't pleased with the way Working ASsets gave me a mealy-mouthed answer that nobody else had offered to take on their clientele who had the actual capacity to do so.
I do get W.A's emails, and pounced ont he chance to send off a rather sharp email to my phone service about it.
Mealy-mouthed doesn't even cover it...
Thank you for contacting the Verizon eCenter. My name is Robert, and I will be handling your request today.

This message is in response to your email dated May 12, 2006. You inquired about the NSA news article . I will be happy to assist you.

We appreciate that the USA Today article and other reports about the possibility that the NSA is able to analyze local call data records is causing concern. Please be assured that Verizon places the highest value on protecting the privacy of our customers.

Anything to do with the NSA is of course highly classified, so we can not comment on whether or not the news article causing concern is even accurate. But we can say that, to the extent that we cooperate with government authorities, we are confident that we are complying with all applicable statutes. We appreciate the continuing opportunity to provide you with service.

Thank you for using Verizon. We appreciate your business.

Sincerely,
Robert
