One, 800 mg of ibuprofen, every four hours, will knock down just about anything.

Two, a pain level of that kind is something I shouldn't try to think coherently through - and be surprised at the results.

Three, the size 14 pants are heading to the same place the 16's went a few weeks ago - and this time, I'm shocked. If I have to go down to size 10s, I am going to be pissed. I've spent the budget I had for clothes this year already, and since I've NEVER worn 10s, even at 95 lbs, I thought it was a safe bet to get 12s and call it a job well done. No folks, I don't like shopping. I am so NOT A GIRL.

Four, the B-cup bras were nice while they lasted. Yeah, in a sport bra, I might as well be twelve years old. HELLO KIMONO WHERE IT DON'T MATTER. My next mammogram is going to be fuuuuuuuun. (Take your forearm. Pinch whatever you can. THAT'S what's going to be x-rayed. Yay me.)

And I've resumed another feature from my childhood - an annoying "thwock" while walking as my left hip jumps out of alignment. Doesn't hurt - yet - but there you go. It did dislocate painfully when I was eleven or so from time to time...that, and the ankles falling out from under me and me hitting the ground, looking up? Yeah, it was great to be double-jointed. Let me tell you about it sometime. ;)

Hmm. I should see if I can touch the back of my head with my feet again.

When I make Lifetime, I think I'll go take that "elderly ballet" class I got info on those years ago.

Sounds like you have a cool dentist. I'm skittish about dentists, myself. I'm currently without, so I guess I should start looking.

The fellow covering for my dentist took x-rays (and while I can't read them, I can tell if there were infectious processes going on, and there weren't), did a full exam and went over what was done - and the two of them, my dentist and the fellow covering for him, have been working with each other for decades.

The fellow covering just doesn't do root canals. He'd have to refer out for it. And with no other symptoms or x-ray issues - no good reason to jump to those conclusions first.

There's also something to be said for getting OUT of pain to break the cycle - I'm a bit better today, but I'm not going far from a bottle of ibuprofen for a few weeks.
