Hee. I've gotten my assignment, and already have a pretty good idea how to approach it. The best fun?

Someone wants me to write violent pr0n. Seriously. [livejournal.com profile] reannon is snorfling in her coffee right now, I'm sure of it.

Suffice it to say, this is something I don't do on a regular basis. Scratch that, never.

*rubs hand together in glee* This..is going to be FUN.

To the poor sap who got me, and is here looking for help?

Tell me a story.

I don't need to have graphic details on the sex life, truly. It's hard to make sex interesting if you're not doing it yourself, and in a lot of cases, it gets reduced to "bump, thump and DONE." Resist the temptation to go into gory details. Keep it simple, lucid and concrete.

Do the hard parts. Tell me what happened. I love a well plotted tale, and the fandoms I chose lend themselves to story arcs, rather than vignettes.

It could be as simple as coffee in a street cafe. You're familiar with the story and characters, get inside their heads and figure out how they think...and react. What moves them. What attracts them. What drives them.

Tell me what happened. And why.

See you all on the 19th. WHEE!

Anything (short of murder, I don't go there) that gets me out of the millstone routines I live in - is to be cherished.

This is going to be an excellent exercise. Completely against type - it's going to be a GOOD stretch for me.

Hmm, yes, an interesting assignment!

There's so many different styles of violence, you know.
I have to be careful, when speaking to people, not to make gestures that are too sudden or staccatto, it *frightens* them. It's quite surprising to realize that a relatively minor (not even a strong gesture) that you made in perfectly serene control appears so alarming to other people.
I'm thinking that a lot of athletes and cops and the like are also used to having to be physically careful around outsiders.
But perhaps not in the same way with each other, no?
Although they might be *more* careful about sharp loud noises that sound like gunshots.
