You've heard about the earthquake in China, right?

Am I the only one who remembers someone, sometime in my elementary school history class, mentioning that there had been an earthquake in China, much the same magnitude - before the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco? Bueller?

We're okay. We're also ready for a quake. I'm going to be checking supplies everywhere today, just in case.

I have to hand it to the new outlets I've been checking today. No mention of the Olympics, adoption, overindustrialization, contamination - what have you.

I do expect to hear more when I get to work, natch. Speaking of which - gotta go.

A Chinese cousin of mine told me about the quake in the '70s. She said buildings swayed back and forth like they were made of rubber. We giggled because she said she slept through it all, but then got serious because many many people died in that quake.
