This is what is coming off the tree in the backyard.

They're not quinces. They're quava.

Crap. These are tougher to make into anything but juice - and these are the wrong variety for that.

Maybe jam. Maybe.

These get juiced and frozen. Drat. Maybe I can find something useful to do with these.

THIS tree is scheduled for replacement. Definitely.

Heeeey! Guavas take over anything they're put in - pungent is more like it! And it is a sharp, planty smell - not pleasant at all.
