There is something to be said about knowing you can do a thing...and then actually being able to do it without FAIL showing up.
If I can keep it up, this Halloween costume is going to ROCK. I have some finishing to do on the suit, then build the hood, mittens and I may jettison the spats (just don't see the need and they might encumber more than enhance, neh?)
Halloween Party at preschool is Friday. Have to be ready before then.
On the other hand, I just found out just how much $$$ I 'pushed ahead' to get Halloween paid for on time...erg. If I want something leftover for my birthday, I'm going to have to hustle. (God, I hate it when I shoot myself in the foot.)
And I've bought tickets for all three of us to go see Straight Up No Chaser at the Wiltern in November. *fistpumps* Cheaper than Imagination Movers, cheaper than a sitter - and I think he's going to love it. He certainly likes the iTunes tracks and YouTube of them I found.
If anyone knows of any other live music opportunities (we ARE coming into the best/easiest season to find them) - let me know. Kid REALLY likes it (a four year old who will stop DEAD and listen as long as you will play? Right - ) and it's something we'd be happy to encourage.
And now, back to your Tuesday - already in progress.

Date: 2009-10-27 05:46 pm (UTC)Check and see if your PBS carries "The Biscuit Brothers". It's an Austin-based show that's available in some other markets, and it's awesome-tastic. The basic premise is that the brothers work on a magical music farm where they grow instruments, melodies, etc. And it's Old MacDonald's farm, whereby the EIEIO stands for the Environmental Institute for Every Instrument in the Orchestra. :D
It's the show Corran and I like to watch with Peo more than any other. It's cheeky and irreverent with lots of geeky jokes, it's fun and accessible for various ages (their local concerts attract infants to preteens), and it's just all-around awesome.
