Halloween is finally here - holy crap. By the time sushi time rolls around on Sunday night, I won't know what to do with the spare time. Seriously.

[livejournal.com profile] xanxanbell has been updated. Go be kilt by the cute.

Your day (and mine) already in progress. Holy crap.

There is something to be said about knowing you can do a thing...and then actually being able to do it without FAIL showing up.

If I can keep it up, this Halloween costume is going to ROCK. I have some finishing to do on the suit, then build the hood, mittens and I may jettison the spats (just don't see the need and they might encumber more than enhance, neh?)

Halloween Party at preschool is Friday. Have to be ready before then.

On the other hand, I just found out just how much $$$ I 'pushed ahead' to get Halloween paid for on time...erg. If I want something leftover for my birthday, I'm going to have to hustle. (God, I hate it when I shoot myself in the foot.)

And I've bought tickets for all three of us to go see Straight Up No Chaser at the Wiltern in November. *fistpumps* Cheaper than Imagination Movers, cheaper than a sitter - and I think he's going to love it. He certainly likes the iTunes tracks and YouTube of them I found.

If anyone knows of any other live music opportunities (we ARE coming into the best/easiest season to find them) - let me know. Kid REALLY likes it (a four year old who will stop DEAD and listen as long as you will play? Right - ) and it's something we'd be happy to encourage.

And now, back to your Tuesday - already in progress.

Going to over to the Craftzine blog site? Baaaaaad.

Keep those used up gift cards, folks. Mamma's makin' mosaics. Holy chrome.

With a name like Threadbanger, you know it has to be made of hammered awesome. Oh my stars, is it. OH. WOW.

[livejournal.com profile] reannon? This one's just for you. The fact I remember this show when it was NEW...pains me. Just a bit.

And now?

It's...kinda over.

I'm having ramen, beer and sake tonight. And then starting out early tomorrow. Lot to do, little time to do it. Same old, same old.

I'd love suggestions on what kind of baby afghan to make. One, I want it to be knitted - I already crochet, and this is a good time to learn how to knit well. I could manage a ribbed pattern, but pretty please - think of my sanity. Suggest away -

I still have a lot of the work my mother and Cliff's grandmother knitted for me. Knitting is love, yo.

I am less than one pound away from goal - and making dinner tonight.

[Poll #903653]

I also think I might have found a good way to get over my "WAH no familiar Sims!" issue for the laptop game - The Apocalypse Challenge. Why so ideal? I get to populate Pleasantown all over again with my own Sims. Bwahahaha.

Or maybe I should take the opportunity and build my first custom neighborhood. I'll name it Hemet and make it look like Strangetown/Radiator Springs. Ah, nostalgia.

What? Yeah, I grew up with a rock lawn for my front yard (that's rocks, glued in place and sprayed green to look like grass - yes, they still do that out there) - so what of it? Neener.

Note to self - Self, it's nice to have variety on the sweets table, but when you bring in the leftovers to work and they're still working on them (looks at calendar) two weeks after the fact? Too. Much. Food.

Oh, you don't want to know what I threw away. Why yes, yes I did lose weight over the holidays, why do you ask?

Weather gorgeous. Wish you were here -
