There is something to be said about knowing you can do a thing...and then actually being able to do it without FAIL showing up.

If I can keep it up, this Halloween costume is going to ROCK. I have some finishing to do on the suit, then build the hood, mittens and I may jettison the spats (just don't see the need and they might encumber more than enhance, neh?)

Halloween Party at preschool is Friday. Have to be ready before then.

On the other hand, I just found out just how much $$$ I 'pushed ahead' to get Halloween paid for on time...erg. If I want something leftover for my birthday, I'm going to have to hustle. (God, I hate it when I shoot myself in the foot.)

And I've bought tickets for all three of us to go see Straight Up No Chaser at the Wiltern in November. *fistpumps* Cheaper than Imagination Movers, cheaper than a sitter - and I think he's going to love it. He certainly likes the iTunes tracks and YouTube of them I found.

If anyone knows of any other live music opportunities (we ARE coming into the best/easiest season to find them) - let me know. Kid REALLY likes it (a four year old who will stop DEAD and listen as long as you will play? Right - ) and it's something we'd be happy to encourage.

And now, back to your Tuesday - already in progress.

I'm helping to save a guy named Dave's house and land from foreclosure by promoting the Save Dave Online Auction being held on LiveJournal now through November 20, 2009.
Everything ranging from tech support and professional editing to yarn and everything knitted you can imagine. Autographed first editions and TV/movie memorabilia. Want custom or handmade jewelry, or a custom quilt or book bag? Think someone might like original art or photos (or letterpressed biz cards, or custom notecards) for Upcoming Holiday Gifting? What about baked goods People are even auctioning off surprises and taking offers for custom duct tape creations!

People who don't even know this guy Dave have brought the best of themselves to help him stay in his home. Most auctions are ending around Halloween...go check out what's on offer before it's over! And if you can, spread the word about the auction. Thanks!

--

I don't have to remind folks that I've thrown up a Box O' Crap for auction as well, right? (No, seriously. Go bid on a box of my crap!)

There's also an equal chance that we'll be able to actually visit these guys next summer, when we wend our way back east to see family for the reunion in June. So. (No, we didn't know Dave before. We hope to remediate that fact.)

They're getting CLOSE - go lend a hand, and let's make this issue a fond memory. Thanks in advance!

Well, I'll have PPO coverage until May 2010. That's the good news.

Open Enrollment here at work isn't until then, and I have to keep paying out $1,200 a month until then. That's the bad news.

Oh, well. Guess it's time to get those new glasses, etc. Maybe. (Still think Kaiser will be cheaper. Maybe.)
